As the Founder and Managing Director of MAEB ENGINEERING SERVICES LIMITED since August 2020, he demonstrates hands-on management, overseeing day-to-day operations and spearheading strategic initiatives within the sector.

In January 2024, Mobolaji Musah was appointed as an Independent Member (South-West) of the Governing Council of the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF) by President Bola Tinubu, to be domiciled in the Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority (NMDPRA). This appointment reflects his standing as a respected figure in the industry and his commitment to driving strategic initiatives at a national level.

In addition to his current role, Mobolaji Musah has held prominent positions in renowned organizations. From December 2021, he served as the Managing Director at SIFAX Oil & Gas Limited, where he significantly enhanced the company’s involvement in the upstream sector, navigating key projects such as Nigeria Gas Commercialization and the Nigerian Deep-water Mini-bid rounds. Additionally, he guiding the company to advanced discussions regarding farming in into an E&P producing asset with the aim of becoming a minority interest holder.

Previously, Mobolaji founded BREL in 2013, assuming the position of Chief Executive Officer. Under his leadership, BREL played a pivotal role in the 2020 Marginal Field bid round conducted by the Department of Petroleum Resources, demonstrating his strategic acumen and business development expertise. The company was prequalified and submitted technical and financial bids for three fields (EDE, EKPAT & EMOHUA), resulting in being shortlisted in the final stage of the bidding process.
From 2016 to June 2020, Mobolaji served as the Acting Managing Director of Yinka Folawiyo Petroleum (YFP) and concurrently as the CEO of Folawiyo Aje Services Ltd (FASL), overseeing technical and operational aspects of the OML113 Co-Ventures. He implemented a strategic shift in field development strategy, accelerating production by focusing on crude oil extraction. Under his leadership, the Aje Field achieved First Oil on May 3, 2016, marking a milestone for Lagos State as an oil-producing region. Additionally, Mobolaji’s efforts opened up the Benin embayment as a potentially lucrative Oil & Gas Sedimentary Basin. He prioritized local participation, completing projects with 80% local involvement and maintaining a flawless safety record with no recorded loss time injuries during operations.
